The 1811 Slave Revolt Reenactment
Slave Rebellion Reenactment is a large-scale, community art performance and film production reimagining the largest rebellion of enslaved people in the United States. Historic Riverlands is a proud host of the 26-mile performance, retracing the route of the historic 1811 Slave Uprising and concluding in New Orleans. Slave Reenactment is an annual event that is free and open to the public.
